We had a truly excellent experience moving long-distance with BigSteelBox. I don't often write reviews, but I was so impressed with ever part of our experience that I felt I needed to. Here are some of the things that made BigSteelBox the right choice for us: - Their containers are large, sturdy, and weatherproof. We had no trouble packing our 3-bedroom home in the box and everything came out unscathed 6 months later! - We could take our time loading and unloading our stuff (unlike the frenzy trying to make uhaul times...) - Shipping was quite cheap! Cheaper than driving a uhaul x-country (after gas). - They stored the box in their secured yard for a few months while we searched for a new home (+$10/mth). It saved us having to find a storage unit and pack/unpack. We could still visit and pull stuff out of the unit occasionally as well. - Customer service was phenomenal! Always friendly staff and quick to help. The folks at the storage yard even helped us out on a few occasions with a free lock and some bottled water on one scorching hot day. I can't recommend this company enough! Please check them out!

We just moved from North Dundas to Petawawa using Big Steel Box and we were extremely pleased with all aspects of their service. From the initial quote, to the drop off, transfer, and delivery, everything went flawlessly. They arrived exactly when they said they would with a 20' clean, secure container that had room for our entire house. It was level and placed exactly where we wanted it. We took our time - two weeks - to load up the box and packed it right to the ceiling, which is 8'6". We used ratchet straps to secure each of four major segments. It helps to have a large item like a mattress to hold everything in place. They picked up the box on time and delivered it exactly when they said they would, and everything inside was in perfect condition. I would highly recommend Big Steel Box to anyone who has their own manpower to pack and load. Thanks for such a reliable, low-stress transaction. I'd give them six stars if I could.

Incredible interior cleaniness. Great attention to detail you seal the walls. Also nice to see the door seals still in great condition. Sadly several floor panels lost their original seal. Making it more challenging to control the relative humidity (measured with a data logging sensor) when storing mould sensitive content.
